Serving Our Customers Since 1914

With over 100 years of serving its customers, Mid America Bank is proud of its local, community oriented heritage that we intend to continue for many years to come as a bank that’s good for you and your community too!

1914


The People’s Bank of St. Thomas was chartered and resides in St. Thomas. The Bank of St. Elizabeth was chartered and resides in St. Elizabeth where they rented the Schell Trading Company building.

1951


The People’s Bank of St. Thomas is relocated to Meta and is renamed Meta State Bank.

1973


Bank of St. Elizabeth opens a location in Marys Home

1974


Mid America Bank Construction

Meta Ad 50th Anniversary

Ad in Meta 50th Anniversary Book. Mid America Bank was known as Meta State Bank from 1951-1978.

75th Meta Anniversary

Mid America Bank opens its third location in Wardsville.

2006


Mid America Bank opens its fourth location in Holts Summit. Bank of St. Elizabeth acquires Bank of Freeburg.

2008


Mid America Bank opens its fifth location in Belle.

2014


Mid America Bank and Bank of St. Elizabeth celebrate 100 years of serving their local communities.

2015


Bank of St. Elizabeth opens its fourth location in Osage Beach.

2020


Mid America Bank opens its sixth location in Jefferson City.

2021


Mid America Bank acquires the four branches of Bank of St. Elizabeth.

2022


Bank of St. Elizabeth and it’s four branches merge with and become Mid America Bank
